Toyota Teases The Upcoming 2025 Land Cruiser Prado

Toyota has revealed a teaser image of the upcoming 5th generation Land Cruiser Prado. The next-generation Land Cruiser Prado will share its underpinnings with the recently unveiled Lexus GX SUV.Toyota has posted images of a  boxy SUV that is similar in form to the Lexus GX, obviously hinting towards the all-new Land Cruiser Prado.  From the teaser shown, it also looks as if the upcoming Land Cruiser Prado will share some styling cues from the early 1960s J40. The new model will reportedly share the same platform as the new Lexus GX, including the powertrain.The new-gen Prado will be based on the same ladder-frame GA-F platform. The Lexus GX gets a  3.4-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine that belts out 349 hp of maximum power and 649 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox, with a full-time 4WD.Toyota has not provided an exact launch date of the upcoming Prado, but it should be revealed later this year considering that the Lexus GX will be going on sale early next year. Furthermore, Toyota will sell the new generation of the Land Cruiser Prado for the first time in the North American market. The vehicle will drop the ‘Prado’ moniker and will simply be called Land Cruiser in North American markets.
